Turin 2025

On 18, 19 and 20 June 2025, the Learn4Dev Annual Meeting, hosted by ETF and ITCILO, took place in Turin.

Bringing together members from across the Learn4Dev network, this year’s meeting focused on Slow and Inclusive Digital Learning.

Over three days, participants explored how slowing down can deepen learning, foster inclusion, and create more meaningful connections within and across organisations.
The meeting opened with reflections on the value of intentional learning, setting the stage for a series of engaging activities and interactive sessions. From knowledge exchanges to collaborative ideation labs, participants examined how learning systems can be more human-centred, accessible, and responsive to diverse needs.

Digital inclusion was another key focus, explored through a fishbowl discussion where members shared lessons learned and perspectives from their organisations. This format encouraged open dialogue and highlighted both systemic barriers and practical ways forward.

Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including human-centred AI, low-tech and offline learning solutions, immersive learning for behaviour change, and inclusive design. The ideation labs enabled participants to share experiences, identify common challenges, and co-create potential responses.

A unique feature of this year’s event was the “Slow Walk” through Turin’s Valentino Park. Guided by reflective prompts and local insights, participants experienced first-hand how slowing down can support awareness, learning, and connection — key principles of the event’s theme.

The Turin Annual Meeting 2025 was a timely reminder of the importance of creating space for reflection, dialogue, and co-creation. By embracing slowness and inclusion not only as topics but also as practices, members were able to connect in more intentional ways and generate new momentum for joint action.

We thank ETF and ITCILO for their generous hosting and all participants for their contributions. The insights, connections, and shared commitments from this meeting will continue to strengthen the Learn4Dev network in the months ahead.
